In Week 4 action, we had ten more ranked teams go down, including three top-ranked teams.

Class 6A

There is some shuffle in the Top 5 in the 6A poll this week. Gardner-Edgerton won the battles of No. 1s by handling 5A Mill Valley, 49-10. Washburn Rural snapped defending champion Manhattan’s 16-game win streak with a 35-28 decision on Friday night. The Junior Blues have move up a couple of spots in the poll as a result. Elsewhere, Wichita Northwest was upset by Wichita East, 34-28, on the game’s final play. See results from the remainder of the ranked teams at the link below.

Kpreps – Class 6A Rankings


Class 5A

Defending champion Mill Valley could not keep up with 6A No. 1 Gardner-Edgerton in a 49-10 home loss on Friday. The poll has some changes this week as a result with last week’s No. 5 Hutchinson also dropping a 27-17 contest to Derby. See how the results impact this week’s poll at the link below.

Kpreps – Class 5A Rankings


Class 4A

In Class 4A, top-ranked Bishop Miege dropped a 21-14 decision to Missouri-power Rockhurst. Second-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas will take on Rockhurst this week. Elsewhere, last week’s No. 3 Andover Central fell 41-17 to 5A-ranked Goddard-Eisenhower. Eudora, ranked No. 5 last week, lost for a second consecutive week. Kpreps – Class 4A Rankings


Class 3A

The Top 5 again remains the same in Class 3A this week as each team posted big victories. The top three teams pitched shutouts with Andale, Cheney, and Hoisington winning by a combined score of 187-0. This week’s schedule is highlighted by No. 5 Clay Center taking on 2A No. 4 Southeast of Saline. See results from the remainder of the ranked teams at the link below.

Kpreps – Class 3A Rankings


Class 2A

The Top 5 also remains the same in Class 2A poll this week. Second-ranked Sabetha defeated Minneapolis, 28-6, and get a test this week against Riley County. Southeast of Saline shut out Halstead 24-0 and will take on 3A No. 5 Clay Center this week. See results from the remainder of the ranked teams at the link below.

Class 1A

There is only one change in this week’s Class 1A poll. Last week’s No. 5 ranked Wabaunsee Chargers fell 16-14 on the road at Smith Center. As a result, the Redmen replace the Chargers in the No. 5 spot in this week’s poll. See the remainder of last week’s results and this week’s matchups at the link below.

Class 8M-I

In 8-Man, Division I, second-ranked Lyndon passed a big road test with a 58-30 victory over Cair Paravel. The Tigers will take on unbeaten Madison in district play this week. The only change in this week’s poll has Central Burden replacing Burlingame. Central Burden won at Argonia-Attica, 44-12, while Burlingame was shut out 46-0 by Chase County. Class 8M-II

Kinsley won a key game in District 7 by defeating South Barber, 56-30.  The Coyotes have another key district game against South Central in a couple of weeks. Class 6-Man

Last week’s battle of No. 1 versus No. 2 went the way of Cheylin which defeated Northern Valley, 54-6. The Cougars have now defeated then No. 1 Ashland and Northern Valley in consecutive weeks. See results from the remainder of the ranked teams at the link below.
