Hanover improved to 6-0 with a 52-6 road win at Troy. The defending state champion Wildcats have won 19 straight contests. Hanover gets its annual rivalry game against Axtell, one of the premier yearly matchups in all of Kansas. The game will decide the Twin Valley League and District 4 title. Both teams are 6-0, 3-0.

Axtell rolled over Linn, 64-14, in another big home win. The Eagles led 14-0 after the first quarter, 34-8 at halftime and 42-8 following three quarters. Wyatt Detweiler completed six of seven passes for 95 yards and a score. Detweiler rushed 12 times for 126 yards and five TDs. Axtell owns wins against Reno County Homeschool, Clifton-Clyde, and Troy, all by at least 30 points. Those three teams are a combined 12-2 when not playing Axtell.

Little River dominated La Crosse, 70-0, and will face Sylvan-Lucas this week in a battle of top-five teams. Little River led La Crosse, 48-0, after the first quarter. Five players finished the game with a rushing TD. Senior Jaren Garrison had two carries for 26 yards, both for scores. Little River has allowed just six points all season and has four straight shutouts.

Sylvan-Lucas moved to 6-0 with a 62-12 home win versus Ellis. The Mustangs have tallied at least 46 points in every game. Little River and Sylvan-Lucas are both 6-0, 3-0 in District 6 and will play for the likely district title this week.

Hodgeman County (6-0, 3-0) and Meade (4-2, 3-0) remain atop District 5. Hodgeman County won 65-20 at Minneola and will play at home versus Meade for the district crown this week. Sophomore Gavin Reece enjoyed a huge game with 13 of 13 passing for 218 yards and five scores. Meade won four straight in the series before Hodgeman County earned 46-0 and 48-6 wins the previous two seasons.
