After the first round of bracket play there are very few changes in this week’s rankings. While many of the top teams cruised to first-round victories, the competition will get more difficult this week and as we advance further into the playoffs.

Class 6A
There is no change in this week’s Class 6A poll as four of the five teams rolled to big first-round victories. Fifth-ranked Olathe South needed a late touchdown to top Blue Valley North, 26-23. Find out how this week’s poll shapes up and who the ranked teams will take in this week.
Class 5A
Top-ranked Maize and second-ranked Mill Valley rolled to first-round victories by a combined score of 132-0. This week, Maize will host Kapuan Mt. Carmel, while Mill Valley will play host to Shawnee Heights. Hays, Bishop Carroll, and De Soto all advanced to the second round and remain in this week’s poll.
Class 4A
The top five teams in Class 4A advanced to the Regional round with big victories last week. The five teams ranked in the 4A poll won first-round games by an average of 40.8 points per game. Four of the five teams face opponents with winning records this week. Find out this week’s matchup and last week’s results at the link below.
Class 3A
The top five in Class 3A each posted first-round victories last week. Andale shut out Goodlane, 63-0, which set up another game against Pratt. The Indians and Greenbacks met just over a week ago with Andale winning 42-14. Fifth-ranked Girard advanced to the regional round with a 35-0 win over Parsons. The Trojans will also get a rematch this week against Frontenac. Girard defeated the Raiders 35-0 back in Week 4. Check out the remainder of this week’s poll at the link below.
Class 2A
Class 2A is the only poll which has a change this week. Fifth-ranked Silver Lake was eliminated by Mid-East League rival Riley County, 23-21, on Friday. The Eagles had defeated the Falcons 28-21 back in the season opener. Find out who the new team is in this week’s poll at the link below.
Class 1A
The Class 1A poll remains the same this week with all five ranked teams coming from the eastern side of the bracket. This is an incredibly balance and deep classification with several teams capable of winning the state title. This week’s slate is highlighted by No. 3 St. Marys hosting No. 5 Troy.
Class 8M-I
There are no changes in this week’s Eight-Man, Division I poll as all five ranked teams advanced to the Regional round with big victories. The Regional round will include some great matchups, highlighted by No. 5 Chase County traveling to take on No. 3 South Sumner County. Class 8M-II
There are no changes in this week’s Eight-Man, Division II poll with all five ranked teams rolling to big first-round wins. This week, second-ranked Canton-Galva will play host to traditional power Hanover in an intriguing second-round game. Class 6-Man
In past years we would have already crowed a 6-man champion. With the addition of 6-Man as a KSHSAA classification, we are just now entering the second round. Eight of the remaining 16 teams received a bye into this week’s Regional round. The only ranked team to play last week was No. 4 Tescott, which defeated Chetopa, 55-6.
