Class 6A
Olathe North picked up the biggest win last week coming up with two interceptions for touchdowns in the fourth quarter to top then 5A No. 1 Mill Valley. The Eagles are up a spot in this week’s 6A poll. This week features a big matchup with No. 1 Manhattan hosting No. 4 Wichita Northwest.
Class 5A
We have a new No. 1 in Class 5A for the first time this season. The Maize Eagles ascend to the top spot after a 41-13 win over then No. 5 Hutchinson. In addition, defending champion Mill Valley fell 20-16 to Olathe North on Friday. There is also a new team entering this week’s poll. Find out who at the link below.
Class 4A
Defending champion St. James Academy scored on a late field goal to win at Kapaun Mt. Carmel, 31-29. The Thunder have now won four consecutive games after an 0-3 start to the season. There is a slight change to this week’s 4A poll. Find out what that change is and the remainder of the top five at the link below.
Class 3A
Another week, another Andale victory. The Indians handled Cheney, 32-0, to register consecutive win No. 45. Elsewhere in Class 3A, last week’s No. 3 Holton rolled past then No. 2 Topeka Hayden, 37-13. Find out where the two sets of Wildcats land in this week’s poll at the link below.
Class 2A
There is no change to this week’s Class 2A poll which sets up a huge Week 8. Top-ranked Southeast of Saline will host No. 5 Ellsworth in one ranked matchup, while No. 2 Nemaha Central will host No. 4 Sabetha. Elsewhere, third-ranked Kingman will host traditional contender Garden Plain.
Class 1A
There is all kinds of shake-up in this week’s Class 1A poll as top-ranked Inman was run over by Conway Springs last week. The Cardinals led Inman by as much as 29 points before defeating the Teutons 35-14 behind 349 rushing yards. Find out how our voters arranged this week’s poll at the link below.

Class 8M-I
Second-ranked Burlingame continued to build its impressive resume with a 44-28 win over Lyon County League rival Madison. The Bearcats have clinched the District 2 title but have another challenge this week against eight-man newcomer Lyndon.
Class 8M-II
Fifth-ranked Dighton remained unbeaten with a 46-0 shutout of Satanta. The Hornets set up this week’s showdown with unbeaten Minneola to decide the District 8 title. Elsewhere in Division II, fourth-ranked Thunder Ridge will take on Sharon Springs-Wallace County in a game to decide the District 6 title. Class 6-Man
In 6-Man football we have a new team re-entering the poll this week despite all five ranked teams posting victories last Friday. This week, top-ranked Cunningham has already received a forfeit victory over Southern Cloud and No. 2 Ashland is open this week.
