Welcome to the fourth full season of Kansas high school football coverage at Kpreps.com! We are excited to kickoff the 2012 season and wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some of our plans for this fall in hopes of improving our coverage throughout the state.
Last season we grew to well over a million page views and averaged approximately 40,000 visitors per month. Our increased footprint makes Kpreps.com an effective place to advertise your business, and we also have great opportunities for school or booster club fundraisers. Contact us today and help spread the word about Kpreps and our partners.
We are once again excited to collaborate with Kansas Pregame Football Magazine this season to provide the best possible high school football coverage in the state. Kansas Pregame is the state’s premier football magazine and is available for free at various advertisers throughout the state. For a complete list of distribution locations click on the Kansas Pregame tab at on our site.
This fall we will bring you the Kpreps Kansas Pregame Show, a half-hour long radio show previewing statewide coverage of Kansas high school football prior to your local pregame show on Friday night. Be sure to click the radio button on Kpreps.com to find a complete list of radio stations where you can listen to the show. In addition, you’ll find a player where you can listen to current and past shows.
Kpreps.com is also pleased to announce that we have teamed up with KGSO 1410 Sports Radio in Wichita to help power the Preferred Health Systems Scoreboard Show. The hour-long show airs at 10pm each Friday night and recaps all of the action across the state. This season, you will be able to listen live to the Scoreboard Show on KGSO through Kpreps.com.
We are pleased to announce the return of the Mpix Friday Night Photo Contest back for the 2012 season. Last season, our fans submitted more than 600 photos from Friday night action. This season, we will again name a weekly winner as well as a grand prize winner at the end of the season so please continue to send in all of your great photos. Last year’s grand prize photo was taken by Yee Mar of Salina, KS.
We continue to seek to improve our interaction with you, our readers. We will feature KPolls on Kpreps.com where fans can help select the Kpreps Game of the Week and voice opinions on state rankings. On Fridays, we will preview the state Game of the Week as selected by you the readers and release our fan rankings in the Friday Fan Feature.
In addition, we encourage you to follow us on Twitter (@Kpreps) and continually check out our Facebook page. We plan to use these to update scores, highlight new features, and share other information on high school football in Kansas, and we hope you will do the same.
