The fifth annual issue of Kansas Pregame, the state's only comprehensive preseason high school and college football magazine, has been distributed to advertiser locations for free pick-up for football fans across Kansas.
"The magazine again features previews for over 300 high school and college teams in Kansas," Kansas Pregame publisher John Baetz noted, "and for the first time in our five-year history a special cover photo shoot features some of the best high school talent in the state."
Inside the magazine readers will find features focused on some of the state's top players, coaches, and programs, along with the annual coaches' poll, classification overviews and over 100 photos of players across Kansas.
"Our goal is to continue to be the top preseason resource for high school and college football in Kansas," Baetz said. "The magazine features a number of the state's top sportswriters and unique features about Kansans finding success in the Mountain West Conference, a look at the state's top farm working football players and detailed features on each of the eight players, along with coach Mike Weatherman, who joined us for our special photo shoot sponsored by Enel North America and Tradewind Energy at Lincoln County's Smoky Hills Wind Farm."
New for 2010 is the first ever Kansas Pregame high school player "watch list" sponsored by College Coaches Network. The feature takes a brief look at over 40 of the state's top returning high school players for 2010.
"One of the big stories in 2010 is the large number of linemen earning recruiting interest from Division I schools," Baetz said. "Among those are several players on our 'watch list' including Bishop Miege defensive end Shane Ray (committed to Missouri), Circle defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (committed to Oklahoma) and Blue Valley West offensive guard Dylan Admire who recently changed his verbal commitment from Nebraska to the University of Kansas."
At least 11 other linemen in Kansas have given verbal commitment or are being recruited to play at Divison I programs next fall - all appear on the watch list that appears on page 34 and 35 of the magazine.
Kansas Pregame will again partner with Kpreps.com to provide the most complete coverage of high school football on the web and Baetz and Salina radio personality James Westling will host the Kansas Pregame Radio Show powered by Kpreps scheduled to appear on 15 different radio stations in Fridays this fall.
Kansas Pregame is available free at hundreds of locations across the state and a complete list of locations can be found by going to http://kpreps.com/Advertisers/magazine_distribution.pdf.
"Our advertisers make it possible for the magazine to be free for Kansas football fans," Baetz said. "It's a great partnership...advertisers welcome new visitors and distribute their message to thousands of readers and Kansas Pregame gains distribution across the state of Kansas."
