Beginning this week, Kpreps.com will be releasing our 2011 Postseason Awards.
We have received submissions from coaches across the state and will be releasing our selections for All-District and All-State teams later this week.
This will mark the second season for the Kpreps All-Distict teams, which were created as a way to recognize student-athletes in the smaller classifications where traditional leagues have been impacted by the expanded district format.
Kpreps will also name a Player of the Year in each classification as well as a Coach of the Year.
The Mpix Photo of the Year will also be selected for the second consecutive season. Kpreps.com and Kansas Pregame would like to thank all of the photographers from all over the state who participated throughout the 2011 season. Close to 700 photos were submitted making it difficult on our judges to select weekly winners. For more information about the contest and prizes, visit the Mpix Friday Night Photos Contest page.
Last but not least, we are excited to announce the first ever Get Busy Livin’ - Kpreps Player of the Year Award to promote The Dylan Meier Foundation. The annual award will select one Kansas senior who not only has shown excellence on the field, but has also demonstrated the values that Get Busy Livin' (GBL) strives to promote: adventure, fitness, curiousity, generosity, and a daily zest for life experiences. The award is made possible by Mytown Media.
Make sure to check Kpreps.com daily for new press releases regarding our 2011 postseason awards, and throughout the off-season for weekly features and our National Signing Day coverage in February.
