The Kansas 8-Man All-Stars took advantage of a beautiful June Saturday in Beloit and provided fans with two different types of games.
The Division II All-Stars opened the day at 10 a.m. with a high scoring affair that saw gun slinging Quivira Heights QB Gunner Phelan throw for nearly 350 yards and an all-star game record six touchdowns while leading the East to a record 74-30 win.
The East's 74 points are a record for the most points scored by a single team and the total of 104 points scored is also a record.
The East also set records for widest margin of victory (44 points), most total yards (622), and most passing yards (448).
Hanover's Conner Hynek set a record for the East with 13 pass receptions while Golden Plains Rilee Spresser set a record for the West squad with a 61 yard punt.
In the Division I game that afternoon at 1:30 the ground game's were featured as the West picked up the 26-12 win over the East.
Pretty Prairie's Hunter Pittman and Daniel Krehbiel combined for 168 yards rushing and Hodgeman County's Evan Kreger added 75 more as the three players scored the West's four rushing touchdowns on the day.
Southern Cloud's Chase Ghumm added 81 yards rushing for the East squad in the loss.
