Friday, May 9 was the original deadline to submit team questionnaires for the 2014 issue of Kansas Pregame, the only statewide high school football preview for Kansas, but the magazine's publisher has extended the deadline to submit questionnaires until May 30, 2014.

Questionnaires can be submitted online at kpreps.com/coaches.

"We have received over 100 questionnaires already and look forward to getting a whole bunch more as we work to provide a preview capsule for every team in Kansas for the first time in our nine year history," publisher John Baetz said on Friday. "The best way to fill out a questionnaire is online at kpreps.com/coaches, but for those who still prefer the fax machine you can submit completed questionnaires to us at (785) 524-5033."

Questionnaires can be requested by e-mail at johnbaetz@gmail.com.

While the original deadline may have seemed early, Baetz says his goal was to get coaches to act before the school year ended and they head into their summer workouts.

"For football coaches, summer is just as busy as the school year," Baetz said. "Camps, 7-on-7, the weight room, and a variety of other team events make it difficult for us to track down coaches once they get out of school so we set the deadline relatively early. However, coaches will still be able to submit questionnaires through the end of May, but much after that and it likely won't contribute to the content of the capsule."

Baetz says the publication will be the most comprehensive ever and teams will be provided capsules even if coaches don't submit questionnaires.

"Obviously we probably won't have complete names of returning starters and coach quotes if we don't get a questionnaire, but there's still plenty of good information out there in terms of looking back at 2013 and looking ahead to this fall," Baetz said. "Our partnership with Kpreps.com allows us to leverage lots of assets in terms of providing comprehensive coverage of every football team in Kansas, but we sincerely appreciate those coaches who get us information by deadline," Baetz added.
