The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA), Kpreps.Com (@kpreps), and Kansas-Sports.Com (@sportsinkansas) will be in partnership all season to release the KBCA rankings every Monday.

Breakdown of Rankings by Classification:
6A
A lot of movement to class 6A this week, defending state champion Blue Valley Northwest is back in the top spot where they started the season. Olathe East, who was number one last week, lost to defending 5A champion and current 6A #7 Shawnee Mission South on Tuesday.
5A
The top five teams remain identical to last week’s just a little movement of where they are ranked. #1 Lansing remains perfect on the season and will have a big match-up on Tuesday against 4A-I #2 Basheor-Linwood. Goddard Eisenhower (2), Hays (3), Highland Park (4) and Wichita Heights (5) round out this week’s top five.
4A-I
McPherson takes over the top spot in this week’s 4A-I rankings. McPherson is coming off a 23 point victory over 4A-II #2 Andale last week. The Bullpups (15-1) are led by junior all-state guard, Kyler Kinnamon (16.6 ppg, 5.8 apg). Basheor-Linwood, who is ranked second, will play the #1 team in 5A, Lansing, on Tuesday. Labette County (5) is a new team to this week's top five.
4A-II
Scott City (1) and Andale (2) each suffered losses last week but remained at the top two spots in this brand new division. Eudora (3), Holton (4) and Concordia (5) round out this week’s top five in 4A-II. No new teams to this week’s top 10 this week.
3A
Hesston remains perfect at the top spot in 3A boys this week and is coming off a last second buzzer beater win over 2A #6 Hillsboro. Eureka (2), Sabetha (3), Council Grove (4) and Beloit (5) are the top five teams in this week’s rankings. No new teams to the 3A rankings this week.
2A
Defending 1A-I state champion, St. John, continues to cruise as the number one team in 2A this season. The Tigers (16-0) are beating opponents by 32 points per game. Valley Falls (2), West Elk (3), Central Plains (4) and St. Mary’s Colgan (5) are in the top five this week. Berean Academy (8) is the only new team to this week’s top 10 teams.
1A-I
MDCV remains at the top spot of 1A-I boys. The Trojans (17-0) are led by three players who average in double figures in Matt Jones (12.8 ppg), Mark Price (15.0 ppg) and Kaden Vanderpool (11.2 ppg). Jones (6’6) and Price (6’9) are two of the tallest players in this entire classification.
1A-II
Beloit St. Johns Tipton remains at the top of this division again this week. South Barber (2), Wallace County (3), Baileyville B&B (4) and Axtell (5) are this week’s top five teams by the KBCA. The Green Hornets of Chetopa crack this week’s top 10 at #10.
