The Wichita Heights Falcons now have the target on their back as Class 6A’s new #1 ranked team after Olathe North was shutout last Friday night by Olathe East. The East Hawks moved up to #3 in our 6A poll, while Olathe North dropped to #4.
More shuffling occurred in Class 4A as then #2 ranked Andale was shocked by winless Rose Hill, 31-8. The Indians remain in our top five at #5 this week. The Holton Wildcats moved up to the number two spot followed by Louisburg at #3.
Also new to the Kpreps top five is South Barber in 8-Man Division II after the Chieftains shutout Argonia 48-0. They replace the Quivira Heights T-Birds who were knocked off by Central Prairie League rival St. John 44-36 on Friday night. The Quivira Heights loss allowed Otis-Bison and Caldwell to each move up a spot in the rankings to #3 and #4 respectively.
The Bishop Miege Stags remained at #5 in our Class 5A rankings after a 43-29 loss to #2 Gardner-Edgerton
