Last: lost to Rockhurst 29-28 in OT
Next: Any questions of how good the Salthawks would be after graduating such a large and talented class in 2009 where answered last Friday night. Hutch rallied from a double-digit deficit and took a veteran Rockhurst team into overtime, falling just a blocked extra point short of potentially knocking off what many believe is the best team in Missouri. The Hawklets missed a 33-yard field goal with under a minute to go which sent the game into overtime tied at 22. Hutchinson would score first on Ben Heeney's third TD of the game, but the PAT was blocked. Rockhurst would score on its overtime possession, and Griffin Bins converted the extra point for the win.

Last: lost to 6A #3 Manhattan 7-6
Next: The Hayden defense allowed one long Jordan Nelson touchdown run, but it was enough for the Indians to escape with a 7-6 win. Hayden scored what appeared to be the game-tying touchdown in the fourth quarter on a Jon Banister run, but Manhattan blocked the point after touchdown to retain the lead. The Wildcats drove deep into Indian territory with just over three minutes left in the game, but QB Grand Arnold's fourth down pass fell incomplete in the end zone.
