Last: beat Wetmore, 52-6

Hanover rolled over Wetmore, 52-6, and faces one-loss Frankfort this week. The Wildcats led 38-6 at halftime. Colin Jueneman rushed for a touchdown, caught a touchdown pass from Jacob Jueneman, and returned a kickoff for another score. Jacob Jueneman threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another score in the win. Hanover has captured 32 straight victories. A victory gives the Wildcats the District 3 title.

#2 Axtell (7-1)
Last: outscored Frankfort, 76-28

Axtell defeated previously unbeaten Frankfort, 76-28, and led 56-22 at halftime. Quinn Buessing completed 24 of 34 passes for 336 yards and five touchdowns. He rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Hunter Koch delivered six catches for 85 yards and a score.

#3 Osborne (7-1)
Last: shut out Northern Valley, 68-0

In a key matchup, Osborne rolled over Northern Valley, 68-0, and gave the depleted Huskies their second loss. Northern Valley played without Caden Bach and had very little from Nick Stutsman, who had missed time earlier in the year. The Huskies had just 99 yards of total offense. All of the Bulldogs’ statistics came on the ground with 21 carries for 429 yards and nine scores. Darnell and Darrien Holloway and Mason Schurr all rushed for at least 88 yards and scored at least twice. Osborne led 38-0 after the first quarter and will play host to Thunder Ridge for the top-two spots in District 5 this week. Thunder Ridge has enjoyed a surprising turnaround under first-year coach and alum Joel Struckhoff at 5-2, 3-1.

#4 South Barber (7-0)
Last: blasted Burrton, 70-8

South Barber, at 6-0-1 after the tie against Otis-Bison two weeks ago, and Hanover are the only squads without a loss in the classification. South Barber rolled over struggling Burrton, 70-8. Five players each had a rushing touchdown, while two players rushed for a score. Emilio Perez returned a kickoff for a score, and Neal Gugelmeyer had a punt return for score.

#5 Otis-Bison (6-1)
Last: beat Chase, 70-6

After the tie against South Barber, Otis-Bison defeated Chase, 70-6, at home. Otis-Bison raced out to a 38-6 lead after the first quarter. The Cougars have effectively won District 8. Otis-Bison has captured 12 consecutive district contests.
