The Panthers have outscored teams 176-28 and have a key home game against Osborne this Friday. Osborne has won 16 straight contests. Pike Valley lost 34-32 in this contest last season, the only regular season defeat for the Panthers in the last 14.

After a Week 2 loss to rival Spearville, Hodgeman County bounced back with a 74-0 home win versus Deerfield. Hodgeman County travels to undefeated South Central this Friday. The Longhorns are 7-1 in this series dating back to 2004, including a 66-22 meeting last season, the first since ’09.

Otis-Bison lost 36-12 at Central Prairie League foe Central Plains. Otis-Bison was tied at six at halftime but was worn down in the second half against Oilers’ roster that has nearly twice the players of the Cougars’ 14. Devin Ryan, the quarterback last season, took over for Central Plains with Ellinwood transfer quarterback Myles Menges suffering from some sickness. The Oilers led 20-6 with 6:08 left in the third quarter. Otis-Bison plays host to Victoria this Friday in another high-profile league contest.
